Petra Luz is a Swiss-trained goldsmith currently based in Montreal whose art jewellery is found in galleries in Canada and Europe. In 2000, Petra won the International Silverhawk Jewellery Award, and in 2004 she received the Honourable Mention in Jewellery at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.
"I believe good design, craftsmanship, and wearability are the the three pillars of a strong piece of jewellery. What would one be without the others? I love to create something with the minimum number of elements. Forms from nature are reduced and transformed into abstract shapes. In the end, it is the simplicity of a piece that fascinates me the most and that is what I strive to achieve." |
