Marina Kim - Winner of the 16th Annual National Jewellery Student Competition

Marina Kim graduated from Bezhod Art College in Tashkent, Uzbekistan followed by the George Brown College Jewellery Arts program in Toronto. With over 10 years of experience in the world of contemporary jewellery she has won several awards and scholarships. Historical legends and symbols weave through her work. Marina's unique hand made jewellery is always accompanied with a hidden story or meaning: history, legends, and symbols are soldered together with positive energy and a desire to protect and help the wearer of the piece. The idea that her work can function as an amulet has fascinated the artist and led to her create a soulful collection of jewellery pieces that intertwine the new and old.
