Anna Torma

Originally from Hungary, Anna Torma’s interest in working with textiles goes back to early childhood when she learned to embroider from her mother and grandmothers. A member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts she has been exhibiting internationally in Europe, the United States and Asia since 1979. Torma is represented in several public collections including the Museum of Art and Design, New York; the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, Hungary; and Foreign Affairs Canada. Her work has been profiled in numerous publications including Bordercrossings and Walrus magazines, as well as The Globe and Mail and National Post.
