"I am inspired by various aspects of Chinese culture, such as myths, allegories, embroidery, ancient locks and kites. My practice strives to communicate nuanced, sometimes dark narratives through spontaneous, simplistic, and childlike forms. I am fascinated by unifying various materials and techniques in my practice. The content of my work strongly relates to life experience, which polarizes. In one instance, one is full of hope and inspiration, and in another, one struggles constantly with overwhelming emotions and memories. Though the ideas expressed are sometimes extreme, my research strives for subtlety and a sense of secret keeping, where the stories are concealed for the viewer to discover"
