    Left-handed Paths
As a child, when I learned to write, I was obliged by the Nuns to use my right hand because they believed the left hand was Evil.  Today instinctively I am left-handed for some activities and a bit confused for others, but I write with my right hand. When I use my left hand to draw these figures, it seems to reach a different part of my brain. I guess it must be the Evil in me?
I began these designs spontaneously some 30 years ago and have always sought to transpose them into my sculpture, at first in clay and then engraving. In 2016, M. Salvatore Guerrera, a collector, approached me to make signs to mark the paths of his forested property.  I turned to my designs for the way-finding lexicon.
Searching to give greater breadth to this experience, we thought to create a dozen sculptures in bronze, and then a series of wearable silver pendants. Without this passionate collector this project would never have seen the light of day.
