Lara Sturzenbaum

Lara Sturzenbaum (NSCAD University)'s Voltéame Collection showcases colourful enamelled jewellery such as necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Inspired by both personal and larger-scale social experiences, this body of work aims to raise awareness about the mental health effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is through theory of colour, movement and geometric forms that the pieces express the transitions that people go through when navigating and recovering from mental illnesses.
