Yellow Sapphire Curved Stud Earrings by Jess Bischoff
One of a kind; hot-forged on a small scale. These earrings started out as a single extra link on a large curb chain, which was then shaped and textured into two complementary forms. Both earrings have a round, 2mm natural yellow sapphire that has been rough-set into place. Also, a tiny bit of 18K yellow gold, because why not?
Each earring measures approx. 6mm x 12mm x 3mm thick.
Related to her interest in Martian astrogeology, these earrings are part of the artist's 'Unearth' collection, and are inspired by specific research gathering processes associated with some of the more recent aspects of NASA's Mars Exploration Program: drilling and core sampling.
