Anthia Barboutsis

Anthia Barboutsis is an art jeweller from Toronto, Canada. Her work is rooted in the realm of traditional craft but often draws inspiration from her heritage, and from contemporary art and design practices.

I use textile techniques in metal as well as colour to explore jewellery on the body. I work in sterling silver and fine silver, often using patinas to create depth and visual weight in my pieces. I believe jewellery to be a part of the body and thus the soul, to be worn always.
