After three years of studies in Fine Arts at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal, Audrée H.St-Amour was first introduced to jewellery while traveling through Mexico and Central America. There she found inspiration from traveling and working with young craftpeople selling their fiber, silver and semi-precious gemstone jewellery. “Functional and wearable” became assets in her art practice. Looking to get more recognition for her work, she studied one semester at L’école de joaillerie de Montréal. Jewellery has become her main focus and she considers her work as “statement jewelry”; she believes this art form is a personality extension.
Audrée H.St-Amour graduated with honours in May 2012 in jewellery/metal arts at NBCCD where she distinguished herself with an aesthetic rich in composition with the use of dissimilar design elements and materials. Her one-of-a-kind and limited-edition pieces became her trademark.
