Calica

Calica Studio is a collaboration between Rebecca Horwitz and Meghan Macdonald. These two artists met while studying textiles at Sheridan College in 2007. With each collection of scarves they gather and scan personal photographs and found objects. Images are manipulated digitally and by hand collaboratively to create a final design. The artwork is transferred onto 100% silk crepe de chine in a  small scale and sustainable process. Calica Studio scarves are printed and sewn in Canada.
