Megan Hinton

Megan Hinton’s paintings and works on paper have been exhibited throughout North America. Hinton holds degrees from Ohio Wesleyan University, The School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and New York University.  Hinton has been awarded artist residencies from The Women’s Studio Workshop, The Vermont Studio Center, the Nantucket Island School of Design, and Les Amis De La Grande Vigne in Brittany, France. She has been the recipient of three local Massachusetts Cultural Council grants for exhibitions held in Wellfleet at Preservation Hall and The Harbor Stage Company.  In the summer of 2014 Megan’s paintings appeared in a featured article in Provincetown Arts Magazine.  Her work was recently included in an exhibition at the Artists Association of Nantucket called Nantucket Moderns, Contemporary Art 1945-2013.  Her work is included in the permanent collections of The Cape Cod Museum of Art, The Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and The Artists Association of Nantucket.  Megan is an avid traveller and admirer of the ocean, both of which inform her work. She lives in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.
