Paula Murray is an Ottawa-region ceramic artist of international renown. Her exceptional and innovative approach to porcelain has recently won the artist the Jingdezhen International Ceramics Biennale Kito Prize that includes an upcoming three-month residency in China. Her work is in international collections ranging from the Ceramics Museum of Tapei City, Taiwan, the World Ceramic Exposition Foundation of Icheon Korea, and the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy. Her well-loved local public art commissions include Nautilus, which has been suspended in the south entrance of the City Hall since 1990, as well as for the sculptures created since 2006 for the National Arts Centre Award-Governor General's Performing Arts Awards.
