Shay Salehi

Using the pate de verre technique, Shay Salehi fuses glass into pure and simple forms which play with negative space and texture. The edges of her vessels are rough and uncontrolled, exposing the individual glass beads that form the bodies of the glass vessels.

A graduate of Sheridan College's glass program, since 2017, Shay has been studying Sculpture and Installation at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCADU). Among numerous awards, Shay is the recipient of the international  2015 Riedel Award, Venice, Italy.
