Etched Sterling Ring #1A and Framed Etching Print by Andrew Goss

Etched sterling ring #1A is doubly a one of a kind piece: both the ring itself and its accompanying framed original print (1/1). The shapes and the swirling lines within are inspired by rock or boulder forms. The ring is size 7, and measures 25 x 44mm.

To create the etched design on the sterling silver, Andrew applied a resist over a drawn pattern, then used a scriber to draw through the semi-transparent resist. The silver is then suspended for several hours in an etchant to etch out the lines. Before the ring was  rounded for the finger, a single etched print was created from it. A truly precious one of a kind artwork The print measures 4"x6" and comes in a black 5"x7" frame.
