Grasp Vessel is inspired by Rauni Higson’s Lotus Candlesticks, particularly the organic fold-forms used to frame and hold an object. I reinterpreted it and exaggerated the sharpness and curvature for my raised vessel. I designed a frame that is meant to look like claws or tendrils coming out of the ground and grasping the vessel.
