White Collar Journey, neckpiece in sterling silver with coloured cubic zirconia stones. 58 cm in length. 2023.

Techniques used: Hand-pulled and handmade jump ring chain, tube setting, basket setting, bead setting, and 3D scanning.

White Collar Journey is created for International Women’s Day inspired by a painting by Shin Saimdang—a pioneering woman of her time, now featured on Korea’s 50,000 won bill. The work traces the white-collar shirt’s shift from male professionalism to women’s access to education and work, with a 3D-scanned button that I personally collected from my mother’s shirt.
