The 12th annual National Jewellery Student Competition
Call for Submission:
A maximum of five students will win placement in the exhibition.
Selection for the exhibition is based on technical excellence, ingenuity, and strength of creative vision. Objects as well as jewellery, one-of-a-kind as well as production prototypes will equally be considered. Students of any year from a Canadian diploma-granting educational institution are invited to apply.
Previous award recipients held solo exhibitions at the gallery or were represented at international art fairs such as SOFA Chicago. The gallery currently works with a select group of former finalists.
Application deadline: June 5, 2015
Meeting of the Jury: late June, 2015
Notification of finalists: June 30, 2015
Exhibition dates: August 2015 (to be confirmed)
Your application package must include the following:
- a proposal of the work to be exhibited, including: title/kind of object, ie. neckpiece; description of materials; dimensions; technique; and retail price specified on the Image List. The majority of the pieces proposed must be available for sale;
- an artist’s statement;
- a relevant c.v.;
- at least 6-10 digital images of the work proposed for the competition; images may include a range of non-competition recent works; please mark clearly their status on the Image List, including their availability;
- if e-mailing, do not send large files; send multiple e-mails if necessary;
- the name and contact information of a faculty member as reference.

The gallery reserves the right to keep and sell the work for up to six months following the exhibition.
