Christy Guo, NSCADU

My works focus on jewelry and holloware objects as ways of exploring
intimate space, evoking feelings of closeness, quietness and vulnerability. I
often draw inspiration from architecture and geometric forms, and currently I
am working with traditional Chinese lattice windows, whose rhythmic patterns
and layered geometries carry a strong sense of spatial poetics and cultural
memory. I invite viewers to consider how we view and define boundaries
between inside and outside, private and public, body and space.
