« Ce Qu’on Fait de Nous » is a triptych on identity formation, rooted in the essence of paternal absence. Each of us may grow up with a sense that something that influences the construction of our identity. This void becomes a silent wound, materialized through a transparent resin evolving across the three pieces, evoking a path of transformation. The fusion technique was used to develop more organic forms inspired by the nervous system, which is the project’s main visual influence. The whole is accompanied by artist-cut cabochons alongside faceted stones.

The crown symbolizes the analysis and understanding of the wound. It marks the passage from child to an individual who becomes master of their existence. Here, the wound appears open and unstable, while the resin closes above the head, evoking a process of reflection and awareness. The ripples within the resin express this transition toward a more stable and smoother form of the wound.

In the end, we are shaped not only by our wounds, but by what we choose to make of them.
