Cardinal Brooch by Odile Gova

A perky cardinal holds a double-heart branch with its brass-zipper feet.  Outlined also with zipper brass, the dyed wool is decorated with repurposed rhinestones.  Each bead is sewn in twice so the brooch is firm and made to wear.   Each measures approximately 2 x 3".  

For over fifteen years Odile Gova has created  her wool-based brooches after being a painter for fifteen years.  Her elaborate designs are from a daily morning session of sketching.
