Traces, Mixed Media Brooch by Monika Urbaniak

Traces, brooch; clay, copper, acrylic paint, rainbow moonstone crystal sand, steel; hand fabricated; 3.5” X 2”; November 2024.

The brooch speaks to creating memories through marks of fingers in clay. The texture of crystal sand activates the past through a sense of touch. The back houses acrylic paint component, a nod to creativity as a way to improve recall.
