Paula Murray's new solo exhibition at Galerie Montcalm, March 28 - May 19
New work from Paula Murray's residency in Jingdezhen, China, will soon be shown for the first time at Galerie Montcalm in Gatineau. Paula's new solo exhibition, 'Mes Mains, Mon Coeur', opens March 28th.

March 28 - May 19, 2024

Paula will be present for the opening Thursday, March 28th as well as Sunday afternoons from 2-4 PM, April 7, 14 and May 5.

"Passing Through (photo), wall works and discreet objects including pieces from my recent residency in China will be shown.
During your visit, I invite you to participate in the making of Mes Mains, Mon Coeur, an installation symbolizing the power of collective action for the betterment of the world."

Paula recently completed a 3-month residency in Jingdezhen, China.

"I was invited by the Taoxichuan International Artist Residency to work for 3 months in the city known as the porcelain capital of the world. It was a great honour and opportunity to connect with artists from around the globe and have focused time to develop new ideas."

One of Paula's vessels is still on view at the Blanc de Chine in Hangzhou.

"Blanc de Chine in Hangzhou was supposed to wrap up with the Lunar New Year but it has been extended until May 8th. I was so fortunate to visit in person on my way home from Jingdezhen. Seeing my piece alongside the work of friends and artists I have long admired, so dramatically displayed, was deeply moving.

This is the third edition of Blanc de Chine, organized by the ICAA, The International Ceramic Arts Award in China. Thank you to the jury members for selecting my work to be among such esteemed colleagues."
